Teaching Assistant
26 hours per week (excluding lunch)/39 weeks per year
Hours of work: 8.30 a.m. – 2.40 p.m./3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
The Governors wish to appoint a conscientious and friendly person to join our highly successful AEN Department from September. The suitable candidate would work under the direct instruction of the SENCo. The main responsibilities of the role are to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable him to make best use of the educational opportunities available to him.
The post is both rewarding and challenging requiring flexibility and commitment to raising standards of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting pupils with additional educational needs and experience in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous.
Applicants must be dedicated and inspiring individuals who will make a real difference to the students and help them achieve their potential targets for the year. Ideally, the successful candidate will hold the Level 3 certificate.
