Book Donation to School Aid
The Mathematics and Science departments donated 250 educational text books to School Aid. The books were no longer of use in the departments due to the new GCSE curriculum changes.
School Aid is a non-profit organisation that sends school books and other educational resources direct to schools in need (www.school-aid.org). School Aid relies heavily on the support of volunteers and on donations by schools to make the project work. Hurstmere dropped the books to a centre in Bexleyheath and they will be sent to schools in Africa to be used in classrooms and school libraries. Hurstmere was happy to be able to make the donation and hope to make many more in the future.
