GROUNDSPERSON

Grade:  Bex 5.1 – Bex 5.4 

36 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Hours of work: Shift work determined by the School

 

The Governors wishes to appoint a conscientious and reliable person to join our dedicated Facilities Team.  The suitable candidate would work under the direct instruction of the Facilities Manager.

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual who is committed to the success of the school in providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Applicants will ideally have experience of working in a school or similar environment and have practical grounds maintenance experience. The post involves working closely with staff at all levels and ensuring the grounds and the school buildings are maintained to a high standard.

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • assist with facilities maintenance including cleaning, heating, health & safety, security, and other general facilities service provision which supports teaching and learning
  • ensure the school grounds are maintained to a high standard.
  • maintain the sports grounds to a calendar/schedule to be agreed.
  • maintain a safe and healthy environment around the school site.
